Actually, as J Biran said, edit copy, edit paste does work, just not the way we are used to using it. If you draw a trend line and then click on it until you see the drawing object select icon (the 4 arrows), the on the menu (not right clicking the mouse) choose copy. After that back to the Edit menu and chose paste. Then put your cursor back on the original trend line and DRAG it to the new spot. That works.
