I did a search for this and didn't find the answer I was looking for. I would like to display a chart of VIX in my intraday IB database. I use PlotForeign() function to force the chart to always show VIX Data instead of the active symbol displayed in the rest of the charts. The problem is this. When I select a symbol that trades after hours the VIX chart shows a flat line in the gap during after hours trade. I need to make this go away so that the VIX shows only Open Market trades regardless of what symbol I select. Why? Because I need to apply an indicator to the VIX chart that is not skewed by gaps of zero trading bars when viewing futures and ETF's. Please let me know if there is a simple solution. This is standard functionality on eSignal application so this is not an unusual request. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
