Without having to click on each symbol and add it to a watch list or quote window a very easy way to populate either is use AmiQuote. Open AQ and go to Tools>Import tickers from AB. Use SaveAs to save that list. Then close AQ and go to AB Symbol>Watchlist>Import and pick a watchlist and import the AQ list into that Watchlist. When you get the File pop up look in AmiBroker\AmiQuote for the list you saved. Open it and it will put the list you saved from AQ into that watch list. Then go to RealTime Quote window, right click on it and import that watch list.
Simply opening the RTQ window will not automatically back fill all the symbols in it. At least it doesn't on my system. I have to right click on the IB COMM symbol and choose Backfill all RT quote window symbols. I do that at the beginning and end of the day. The only way I have even gotten all the symbols back filled automatically is to create an indicator that uses Foreign to draw a simple line for each symbol from the watch list that has all the symbols. But that really slows my system down and I have a core 2 duo processor. So I do the RT quote thing twice a day. If there is an easier way I am like you and haven't stumbled across it in the manual yet. Tomasz knows his product so well everything seems easy and obvious to him. Not so to us mortals. Hope that helps, Barry --- In [email protected], "imbrucelee" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Yeah, I've read the manual tons of times over.
