I use Copernic Desktop Search, which will index any document, file, email,
etc you have on your hard drive. Drop in some search terms, and get a
listing of everything that fits the search term. Last time I checked, I had
over 6200 afl files on my drive (lots of duplicates of course).

Ken Close and Joe Landry use it - do a search on their names - I believe Joe
mentioned it last. You might also investigate Mind Manager (
http://www.mindjet.com <http://www.mindjet.com/> ) which has a more windows
centric approach than the one Ken and Joe use (have used). Google also has
a freebie called "Notebook" that might serve your needs but its nowhere as
neat as Mind Manager.
