Why not paying five bucks per month and get all Canadian stocks from Stockwatch. By "all" I mean CNQ (or whatever it's now called), TSXV, TSX and even MX options, including all preferds for all stocks (each of the big banks has gazillion of those), etc. And as a bonus you can also download "number of trades" data and chart it just like volume. Very few data providers have this available and it's quite helpful for Canadian stocks, especially for TSXV.
You have to run the download separately for each day but you really get all 3000+ symbols, with all IPOs automatically entered from day one. You can probably automate multiple day downloads using QuoteTracker, But I have never tried that so can't comment. http://old.stockwatch.com/ http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/7008/01012009051446yn7.png http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/5124/01012009051503ty7.png http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/2936/01012009051519ap6.png http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/8167/01012009052624tx6.png Personally, I created definition files for ASCii Importer that put all tickers to the proper "market" (CNQ, TSX, TSXV). You will find all the necessary info here: http://www.amibroker.com/guide/d_ascii.html "brian_z111" <[email protected]> wrote in news:[email protected]: > > I don't see any evidence that there is downloadable data for any > Canadian stocks at either site, except for Canadian companies listed > on the major US exchanges. >
