Hello,

Please open msg 134164 and copy and paste the formula.  It will be 
easier for you to understand how the external fib retracements 
(retracements > 1.0) work.  The last pivot determines the direction 
of the retracements.  If the last pivot is Resistance then the 
externals will be calculated and plotted below support.  If the last 
pivot is support then the externals will be plotted above 
resistance.  The formula I have directed you to is automatic - by 
clicking your mouse in different places on the chart you should 
quickly see what I have explained.
