I've been playing around with this for a while and for some reason, when I cut the list down to just the first 6 or 8 symbols,it works. If I try to run it with all 30, I get zero for the value of the indicator. I know that AB only recognizes up to 2,147,483,648 (in the version that I have ,at least),so I divided the sum of the vol. by 10 figuring that would get it below the limit(the % wouldn't change, and thats what I'm looking for anyway),but still no good.
Also, the point total only works with the first 6 or 8 symbols also, and the amount of positive points minus negative pts on the dow 30 on any given day is obviously less than 2,147,483,648 ,so I see no reason why this would not work using all 30 symbols. Is there a limit to the # of variables one can use, or the # of calculations? I'm almost sure there isn't but I can't figure out why it works with the first few symbols but not with all 30. Any advice would be appreciated.
