Ok, well I use AB for autotrading FX. So far AB is my main tool, and Interactive Brokers my sole broker.
AB was useful for both backtesting/walk-forward testing my trading ideas, as well as serving as the platform for the actual autotrading code. Before settling on AB about 9 months ago, I looked at all the other main trading packages.
