Sure (5.27 alpha actually contains a bug fix for symbol lock so best to upgrade).
It simply locks the symbol to the chart. Users (myself included) had found that sometimes, particularly when switching between floating & non floating windows, that it was too easy to get AB to inadvertently switch symbols for a given chart.
