Hi all,
A short post to let everyone know that both the ATAA Conference and the "Howard in Australia" Workshops are proceeding to plan. Check out the web sites: <http://howardinaustralia.com.au/> http://howardinaustralia.com.au/ and also <http://ataa.com.au/conference> http://ATAA.com.au/conference The workshops are attracting some really experienced traders and competent AmiBroker users. Most participants so far have signed up for the full week. My guess is that there will be a lot of learning both from Howard and also from each other. Perhaps personal co-operation, links and friendships will be formed that will last well beyond the workshops. The workshops will be quite intimate. My estimate is that there will be around 30 people in each (unless we get a late "rush"), even then, 40 is a likely maximum. As many of you know from my earlier post, I consider Howard Bandy the pre-eminent authority on effective trading systems design. AmiBroker is a fabulous tool! However, to get real value from trading you need a deep understanding of both the theory and practice of system design, testing and validation. Howard is superb in theory development, example presentation and in educational information transfer (The University Professor Background, no doubt). Have a read of the testimonials on the Howard in Australia web site. I have worked hard to get Howard to come to Australia and to get this workshop together, it has been a labour of conviction (I was going to say "love" but that sounds a bit "woosie") . I really hope that AmiBroker based traders in Australia (and anywhere else) do take the opportunity - such an opportunity does not happen often. The quote "If you think education is expensive, try ignorance" often attributed to Einstein, is appropriate. Hope to see you in Melbourne. Regards, Robert
