Tx again Herman - great help - poked around using your code lines.

If I create a new blank chart (from the Files menu) - i get different chart 
ID's - so my problem is solved that way. However, somewhat strange, if I create 
new charts using "File->New Default chart" - they all get the same ChartID 
(bug?) - but again, initial problem solved...
