Here is a bit of code to illustrate, using the IQFeed symbols for NYSE ADV and 
DECL:


adv = Foreign( "IINA.Z", "Close" );
dec = Foreign( "IIND.Z", "Close" );

ad = adv - dec ;

Plot(ad,"adv", colorRed, styleLine );
