Dear AmiBroker community, In light of the fact that the only full database updater of US stocks has come from Jim Swindle's version (see here: http://www.amibroker.org/userkb/2008/03/27/us-stocks-database/) ... I have created my own updater tool and am sharing it here with the community free of charge.
This is also a reply to this message about jrswindle's (Jim's) updater: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/amibroker/message/139356 The updater tool is available on this blog: http://www.mdlcap.com/research/downloads The updater uses the End of Day Data Corp's ticker list, which it updates daily (or weekly): http://www.endofday.com/ See also the video on how to use it with AmiQuote to update your tickerlist for the entire US Stock Market (no pink sheets but). Currently the entire tickerlist contains about 7800 stocks. If there are any problems please let me know in terms of feedback. If all is fine, then maybe someone can create a permanent link on the Amibroker help/community pages for future reference. I've been using for a couple of months now and it seems to work fine.
