Welcome to AmiBroker Family.

 It appears that the problem you are facing is not due to opening or closing of 
Databases. It might have happened that while your EOD database was open, you 
had ASCII imported your 5Mn data into it AND vice-versa. So, both your 
databases have symbols from both the sources.

 So, if you take care while importing files, you will have the databases the 
way you want. Incidentally, ASCII import is one of causes of symbol mixups, It 
can happen in other instances also, when you have one database open and add 
symbols belonging to other symbols by any action.
