Hi, (I don't use RAM Disk either...)
RAM Disk use RAM. So it has a much better bandwidth than an USB flash drive. However, it reduces the usable RAM for the apps and the system. So if your system in NOT low on memory, while using all your needed apps at the same time, and your apps use a lot of disk IO it will speed up the system. RAM access is at least 100 times faster than fastest disk access. Thomas has more authentic and precise info in case of AB. There are many usage scenarios. From my experience my GUESS is that it does not count for much.
