I just made the move from XP to 7, and of course I bought a new box
to handle the load.

Wonderful.  I would not think of going back.

A few interface differences that I might have preferred otherwise.
But we are trapped in Windows prison (and as TJ has pointed out, that
is where the data providers live, so that is where we have to live).

In fact, 7 is not a "successor" to XP.  You have to do a clean
install because there is no direct upgrade path, and I'd recommend a
state-of-the-art box.

If anyone is running 7 on an XP video card from 8 years ago, the
experience is going to be substandard, to say the least.

Back to the original thread ...  still using The Bat!  for email, and
quite happy with it in 7.  There is a free backup utility built into
the program (hint, TJ) that restores *everything* perfectly.  You
don't skip a beat or lose a message.
