I don't have any problems using AmIRC on my AGA config (Blizz040/33 32 megs),
but I could help you sort out which patch is responsbile, as I'm using a bunch
of them :)
So I use (without any problem and in order of appearance in my startup-sequence):

Romfixes SpeedyIDE AlertFix NewAlert and all 3.5 modules

Well that's all for the startup-sequence, but I also have Magic Menu v2.21 and
Executive v2.10 in my WBStartup directory.
