Don't worry about the caution, it is just to let you know that there can be literally thousands of channels on at one time. If your internet connection is slow the amount of information supplied can cause the IRC client to disconnect you from IRC only. It will not cause your ISP to disconnect you. You might want to try some channels that will probably be there. for instance type in /join #newbies This will probably get you onto a channel (or room as a lot of magazines describe it) with people happy to help others. If the channel doesn't exist, joining it will start the channel and you will be the only one there. This is why some channels have no one to talk to in them. If you get a channel list Amirc lets you sort the list including limiting display to channels with a minimum ammount of users. You'll have to excuse me if some of this information is a bit rusty as I haven't been on the internet with my Amiga for over two years now (still waiting for my Cyberstorm to be fixed) and I can't stand using anything but Amirc for IRC. And to top it off I can't use Amirc with Amiga Forever. :( MeRodent ___________________________________________________________________ AmIRC Mailing List - http://www.vapor.com/amirc/ AmIRC FAQ......: http://faq.vapor.com/amirc/ Listserver Help: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=HELP Unsubscribe....: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=UNSUBSCRIBE
