Yaesu has always catered to CBers, it started with the 101 series of radios .The FT-757GX was also a super popular radio for CB operation in the early 80's. All you to had to do is open the cover & flip a little black switch on the dial board and you had full general coverage transmit. When I was on CB in the 80's everyone I knew had a FT-757GX on CB.... I even have a factory mod paper to tell you exactly how to put the FT-102 on CB with all factory yaesu part numbers to make the conversion easy .....you can't blame them ..CB was a big untapped market ..Plus it was a good thing because the ham rigs were super clean & cause no interference, unlike modified CB radios...
