For Sale: More BA and Ham Radio Literature As I mentioned to someone here, I am trying to eliminate at least one file cabinet full of stuff. So I will gradually be posting literature items here until I reclaim the space I need. PPD = postage paid
QST. I have 1984 through 1996 currently sitting in boxes if anyone wants these. They are complete years, available for $8 per year shipped to your door. Whole years only. No single issues. 73. I am going through 1976 through 1996 and planning to get rid of them all. Some years are not complete though. Same pricing: $8 per year shipped to your door. Whole years (or maybe discounted partial years--missing an issue or 2) only. No single issues. RSGB Radio Communication Handbook 5th edition, 1976. This is Volume 1 of the 2-volume set. Full of projects HF RX, HF TX, VHF, UHF, keying and modulation. Projects include tube and transistor circuits. Many more projects than a typical ARRL handbook. Hardback with dust jacket. Excellent. $22 PPD Saga of the Vacuum Tube by Gerald F. Tyne, Sams 1977. This is not a reprint. This is the original 1st edition, 1st printing. Paperback with cover wear and small tear at front cover spine. $27 PPD ALCOA, Aluminum Conductors--Typical Installations, 1923. This is an 8.5 x 11 inch guide to heavy aluminum conductor installation for "High Voltage AC Transmission Lines, DC lines, Bus Bars and Railway Catenary." 125 pages with great photos and diagrams. I assume this was produced as a sales tool. $22 PPD 1972 ARRL Handbook, good. $9 PPD Servicing By Signal Substitution, 1953. This is basically a glorified user guide for the Precision E-200 signal generator. But is has a strong section on troubleshooting that can apply to any signal generator. 91 pages. Good paperback. $6 PPD RCA Review, Volume 1, Number 4, April, 1937. Very good condition. Covers practical applications with examples. For instance, in this issue the chief engineer for NBC talks about "experimental" TV studio facilities. Many other good articles. About 80 pages total. No ads. Great photos. $11 PPD Philco TRACE "Transistor Radio Automatic Circuit Evaluation", 1960. This is a set of overlays that fit on the circuit boards of many of the transistor radios that Philco made prior to 1960. These overlays are serviceman's aids. Each color-coded overlay shows the RF, IF and AF signal paths of the radio. There are holes at the appropriate places in the overlay to allow a probe to be inserted and contact the right point on the circuit board for injecting a signal and measuring the result. (Very clever, these Philadelphia radio people... Wouldn't it be great to have these for your Heathkit rig?). So this is a tri-fold cardboard envelope with instructions printed on it and the overlays inside. The envelope is dirty and aged but in solid condition. The laminated cardboard overlays are like new and appear never to have been used. $11 PPD Radio (magazine) monthly data sheet service from March, 1930. $5 PPD Thanks for looking. All are headed to eBay unless someone here wants them. 73, Don Merz, N3RHT
