Jason, Try the exciter / amp combo into a dummy load to rule out RF feedback. If the problem goes away then you have a direction to proceed, i.e. too much RF in the shack, improper grounding of the two rigs, maybe you need some ferrite beads over the coax between the exciter, and amplifier, etc. When operating into an antenna, does it still happen with the mic gain at minimum, or get worse when you pick up the microphone?
