Hi Ron:

Comparing the HRO 50 to the R 390, I prefer the HRO.  You will know
the exact frequency with the 390, but the sound out of the HRO will
not require additional amplifiers and such.  It is so much better
sounding that I gave up the "Collins audio".

Both have their good points and bad points, but I prefer the HRO (I
have a HRO 60 and sold my R 388).

I separated my questions depending on the radio.... I also have a
chance to buy a HRO 50 receiver with coils.  Is it really such a
great radio?  Thanks from Ron VE4SR
