Ken, I am presently restoring a Western Electric 250 watt transmitter,
designated 451A-1.  Have you ever seen one of these units.  I assume that
they are rather rare.  This was a back up transmitter for a local radio
station and was first placed in operation in 1947.

I would think that anything made by Western Electric would be a collector's
item.  The tubes in this unit, particularly the 350B audio tubes bring big
bucks.
