Perhaps based on the old term of folks gathering to 'shoot the breeze' or chat? Certainly lends itself well to the AM radio approach to conversations. Wouldn't at all be appropriate for the 'yer 5-9 59, pse repeat yur call' crowd, though....

Well another year has rolled on and it is once again for the
Breezeshooters'Hamfest.

And of course there will be some cooking going on in "AM Row."
