As they do almost every year, shipping rates are going up again on January 5th. 
The ICC has granted rate increases for UPS and FedEx. This latest increase 
seems to make permanent the old "fuel surcharge" granted during the latest Gulf 
war by raising rates an average of 2.5%. So the separate surcharge is being 
eliminated but rates are rising by an average of 2.5%. 

The additional charges for home (as opposed to business) delivery is increasing 
to $1.75 per package. If you are in a rural area, they are permitted to add on 
another $1.40 per package.

Shipping cost is getting to be a real factor in this hobby.
