I was never warned about storing tubes in the cold (In South Texas, we got to 27 this morning, for about and hour or so, the back to 64 for a high) but I WAS warned by Mr. AM (rip) John L. Mohn/W5MEU - Store them tubes vertically! The filament can sag and fall into the grid, causing a short. At least on the bigger jugs - 811's, 813's, 100TH's, 250TH/L's, etc...
