437 describes converting the unit to 120V use ans 28MC. 444 shows how a collins speech amp is used to drive the carbon mike input. I will copy the stuff and mail it if you want.

Well, it seems as though I'm gonna wander down the path of converting my junker ART-13, or at least make the attempt. The ART-13 conversion literature that I have (Surplus Radio Conversion Manual, vol. 2) mentions a microphone preamp in the 11th ed. of the Radio Handbook using a 6J5.
