If you have the one that has an SWR meter built into it, then you adjust both controls for minimum SWR (Reflected Standing Wave) If it's the non-meter version, then you'll need an external SWR meter, connected first to the transmitter output, and the other end goes to the Impedance matching device. The SWR meter used to indicate minimum Standing Wave Ratio at the TRANSMITTER, is viewed when adjusting both controls, simultaneously, for minimum SWR reading on the meter. 73 = Best Regards, -Geoff/W5OMR
