I purchased a used HTX-10 and am looing forward to some lunchtime 10M fun, though 7W AM will be a bit challanging.
15M wasn't too active Sunday afternoon, but I managed a nice cross mode chat will a fellow in Chicago. He made an interesting comment -- he found that when he calls SSB stations on AM, it's iffy if they'll respond. Whereas when he calls AM stations on SSB, they always respond. Nice compliment to the AM gang. 73 Mark K3MSB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Cobbeldick [KB4CVN] Home" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 9:15 AM Subject: Re: [AMRadio] Don't forget 10 Meters > >From my QTH in Central Virginia, I worked via 10m into CT and > Dallas-Fort Worth last week during lunchtime while in the mobile. > > Condx finally starting to improve. > > > > 73, > Mark Cobbeldick, KB4CVN > Monroe, VA > FM07jo > > > > > Message: 1 > > Date: Sat, 21 May 2005 09:16:34 -0500 > > From: "Mike Duke, K5XU" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Subject: [AMRadio] Don't forget 10 Meters > > To: "Discussion of AM Radio" <[email protected]> > > > > The 10 meter E season has begun. > > > > On Thursday and Friday of this week, I made an AM contact each day > > near 6 PM > > on 29.0 with my HTX10.
