I don't think the FCC gives a rat's a** about amateur radio. Although I am not a great fan of the ARRL, it appears to be the only voice that amateur radio has in the USA which is surely better than no voice. Seems to me they have put up a pretty good fight against BPL but it definitely is / was an uphill battle. Isn't it a shame to see the BPLers now complaining that it is going to be too costly...how sad!
