There were basically three main variations of Rangers: 1) Ranger early model - maroon cabinet; no "deck" as you described.
2) Ranger later model - maroon cabinet, has the "deck" , which is for improved keying on CW. 3)Ranger latest model - gray cabinet & face. Pretty much identical with the later maroon model, except for color of cabinet & face.. -- Ernie, k0occ Atlanta, GA -------------- Original message -------------- From: Jack Schmidling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > I just bought a Ranger but the manual does not agree with the hardware. > > How can I tell if I have a Ranger or a Ranger II? > > Mine has a deck with tubes and a pot mounted above the function switch. > No such deck exists in the pics in the manual. > > js > > > -- > PHOTO OF THE WEEK: http://schmidling.com/pow.htm > Astronomy, Beer, Cheese, Fiber,Gems, Sausage,Silver http://schmidling.com > > ______________________________________________________________ > AMRadio mailing list > List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio > Partner Website: http://www.amfone.net > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html > Post: mailto:[email protected] ______________________________________________________________ AMRadio mailing list List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Partner Website: http://www.amfone.net Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:[email protected]
