Tom,

In years back, I used to use DOS Interlink and DOS interserv with a home
made cable connected from one computer to another via the parallel ports. I was
able to set up a new computer with DOS, and Later Win95 by exchanging files
through that cable with a dos shell at each end. To pull this off, both
computers need to be in a dos shell, and the one with the CD needs to have the
dos drivers to run the CD. The following link has the downloads, and text file
instructions for the above commands.

http://oldfiles.org.uk/powerload/msdos.htm

also at the dos shell prompt, type HELP and look at the definitions. I recall
there is a cable pin out in there two.

It might be easier to find an old CD Rom drive (like a 2x or 4x) and
temporarily install that in your Win-95 computer.

Good Luck!
Jim

This may not be helpfull, but, do you have a machine w/ a cd drive?
Or know someone that does? You could have the machines 'networked'to
each other, or they could copy your cd to disk.. klc
