Geoff, contact Lynn/K5LYN and inquire about the AM transmitter he has that uses a single 4-65 final. I can't remember who made it, but you might find a lot of interesting information about them.

As I recall, his is a 100 watt output but I don't recall the modulators. It is about the size of a Globe King 400 (not quite as tall) but well designed and sounded beautiful.

Interesting rig...

I'm not 'going to some site and fostering competetion'... I was looking for info on the 4-65 earlier, and came across this rig by Energy-Onix.

Most of the rest of the day, was looking around for a price. I -finally- found -this-. This is interesting information, if a Ham happens to have a non-conforming XYL who doesn't understand the need for that 'big ugly pile of junk (if you're a home-brewer)
