I am appalled by Paul's comments about my post for Win/w5wm on the amfone.net.

Read it here before the whole thing likely gets pulled:

Why didn't you post your comments in reply to my listing for Win here
Paul? You are not exactly what I thought was "my kind of person" to
make a statement as you did here. There are a lot of folks on this
reflector that know Jim/Win who will be completely astonished by such
a statement.

Just in case the topic is deleted from amfone.net, here is a copy of
the entire thread:

I have talked with Jim / "Win" many times on most of the equipment he
has listed here, and know he takes best of care of his equipment. I'm
not sure about shipping, however some items obviously would be better
as pick up only. You can work that out with Jim.

"Pre-Estate Sale"

Curious concept.

Maybe he's going into an old folks' home or something.

Otherwise it's yer basic "fixin' to die rag" I suppose.

Sorry Paul, but I am really surprised by that statement! I know Win,
and your assessment is pretty much correct from what I understand,
however I think it's really harsh the way you put it, especially since
he is (or I know at one time was) a member of this forum, and lot of
his friends ARE members of this forum. I can only hope he does not
see your reply.

Being an admin of this forum, and "original" founder of amfone.net,
the first thing I wanted to do was delete your comment, however I've
decided that in situations such as this, Gary should intervene. Win
has been my friend for a long time, and I simply can not understand
why you would poke fun/criticize someone who is on his way to the
other side. If I felt this was some sort of screwing for potential
buyers, you can bet your damned money I would NOT have posted this to
amfone.net, or anywhere else.

I am not going to explain his health to everyone, and see no reason to
do so, as that is Win's business and that of his family. I offered to
list his items on amfone.net when I heard the news, and he agreed.

Healthfully Yours Paul!

Brian / wa5am
