"White to Copper, Black to Brass".

The BLACK wire is the HOT wire. The BRASS terminal is the HOT terminal.

If it's a 2 wire polariazed plug the wide teminial is the COLD wire.

Subject: [AMRadio] AC line cord

Dumb question of the week:

I've forgotten which blade on a 120 volt line plug is hot, and which is
neutral.

I have Googled for the answer, and I'm sure it's there (among the 27 million
hits).
