Once removed that front panel is easy. Just remove the old paint and repaint. The leather look is etched in the panel and comes right back. Just fill all the engraved letters with the proper color and it looks new.

An SX 28 cosmetics are not difficult to do, it is the electrical and alignment, especially the dual AGC system, that is a bear.

Well, Guys, I guess I never thought of the "shill-bidding" thing. I guess it happens. That's too bad.

Bad also is that sheen on the front panel. Looks like some kind of dashboard cleaner/conditioner. Hope it doesn't dissolve the lettering.

I think I remember one ending on eBay about a year or so back for over 3K.

Wish I still had the two I owned.  It is nuts to me however.
