For Sale: Near-Mint Hickok 209C VTVM

In 1966, Hickok released the 3rd and last version of their famous 209 series of
VTVMs. Not many people have even seen one of these 209C models with the
"streamlined" cabinet and modernized look. But I'm sure you have noticed the
209A or 209B in your boatanchor travels. You can't miss it--it's the one with
the NINE INCH square meter framed in a shiny chrome bezel.

The 209C retained the nine inch meter while shrinking the cabinet to about 2/3
the size of the A and B and squaring off the older cabinet's rounded corners.
Hickok also made the background of the meter scale black instead of white as in
most of the previous models (I have seen either A's or B's with black meter
scales too but they ae uncommon).

This 209C was purchased by the original owner in 1968 and set in a box with the
orignal instruction manual and warranty certificate. It was always carefully
stored and appears brand new when you first look at it. Very careful inspection
will turn up a few tiny flaws. But damn, this is one fine example of one rare
VTVM. With original probes and original manual and other original paperwork.
Near-mint looking. I have never applied power to this but it will probably come
up on a variac without too much trouble. A VTVM for those who appreciate the
best of a bygone era: $159

Thanks for looking.
