Thanks Jim for the heads up. Actually, I think the wattage would be a little more than 1500 watts at 100% modulation, so it pays to be mindful of it.
73, Rick/K5IAR Regarding the dummy load power rating, I just want to be sure y'all know that when the transmitter is modulated the total power output will go up. Be careful! A rig delivering 1 kW at carrier delivers 1500 watts with 100% sinusoidal modulation. And, should you be so inclined, it goes up to 2 kW with squarewave modulation. - Jim WB6BLD ______________________________________________________________ Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net AMRadio mailing list Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:[email protected] To unsubscribe, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.
