Rick,, I have a Sprague TO-6A, love it! Test caps for leakage and insulation resistance at rated voltage. You will never believe in reforming old electrolytic caps after using a good cap analyzer. BBOD's from R-390A's fail like crazy.
Makes restoration of old boatanchors easy, just gotta get rid of a few old caps. 73's wd8kdg Craig -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rick Brashear Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2008 8:04 AM To: 'Discussion of AM Radio in the Amateur Service' Subject: [AMRadio] Capacitor tester Has anyone on this list had experience with the Sprague TO-6 capacitor tester/analyzer? I started to cobble together a little supply and metering circuit for this purpose, but have a possible opportunity to get the TO-6. I'd appreciate any insight on the unit.
