In fact, Leo was bothered by the whole affair and apologized for the
outcome. I remember reading (probably still have it saved somewhere)
his response. IIRC, someone emailed him and he wrote back trying to
explain. You can't blame him for trying, but museums are known to do
whatever they deem necessary to survive.
