I'll have to "third" this!
I was up at 3AM CST, listening. I ought to fire up the Apache/HQ-140X
(all I have for 75 right now) but it is much more fun to listen. Here in
Nebraska the band wasn't too noisy, but it was looooooooooooong! W3PWW
(old military net) usually comes in around an S5, but today he was
THIRTY OVER NINE!!!! I also heard the gentleman in Arizona with the
signal of a local. Pennsylvania and Arizona......and everyone in
between....all over S9 at the same time. Good stuff, Maynard.

Hi Ron,
I too was lurking and listening. A little noisy than usual for this
time of year. Great signals from W4QCU, W8JBT, K0RMK, etc. Very nice
ops and then heard them stand-bye for the military net. It was a hoot
to listen to BC-375s and talks about antennas before that while
surfing the net about AM Phone and Class E. I couldn't sleep, but all
of this was very relaxing!!

We had some great QSOs on 3885 early this am between 2 & 4am
I talked to N9GOB, WB4EZ, WA3JBT and N4WC, great sigs and
not too much noise from sidebanders.
