Hi Jim, How did Hallicrafters ever achieve that VERY fine-looking leather-look finish on the front panel...?
Is it actually stamped right into the metal, or did they achieve the look with some expert painting tricks...? The finished product is most impressive, indeed...I only wish I knew how to copy that look on some of the 1929 retro-rigs that I am wont to build here! ~73~ Eddy VE3CUI - VE3XZ ********************************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Tonne" <[email protected]> To: "Discussion of AM Radio in the Amateur Service" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 5:31 PM Subject: Re: [AMRadio] SX-28A restoration project > > > > http://w5ami.net/cpg1419/thumbnails.php?album=16 > > (Put the http thing in front) > > The above link was copy and paste from the working > link. > > - Jim W4ENE > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net > AMRadio mailing list > Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ > List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html > List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio > Post: [email protected] > To unsubscribe, send an email to [email protected] with > the word unsubscribe in the message body. > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > ______________________________________________________________ Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net AMRadio mailing list Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Post: [email protected] To unsubscribe, send an email to [email protected] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.
