Hi Jim,

How did Hallicrafters ever achieve that VERY fine-looking leather-look
finish on the front panel...?

Is it actually stamped right into the metal, or did they achieve the look
with some expert painting tricks...?

The finished product is most impressive, indeed...I only wish I knew how to
copy that look on some of the 1929 retro-rigs that I am wont to build here!
