Brian, I did not mean to imply that wrinkle paint will not adhere to the primer. I see that someone did post an email on this matter. Thank you David Knepper, W3ST-W3CRA Publisher of the Collins Journal and Secretary to the Collins Radio Association -------Original Message------- From: WA5AM Date: 9/14/2009 8:14:15 PM To: Discussion of AM Radio in the Amateur Service Subject: Re: [AMRadio] SX-28 Cabinet wrinkle finish - in progress... The primer is not the problem. As you can see in the photos I posted, the wrinkle is nearly perfect on all BUT the lid. The sides have a wonderful wrinkle. As mentioned before, the lid showed some defect when I first primed it. It was visible before I applied the wrinkle. Before I started the wrinkle, I even went back down to the metal, sanded deeper, cleaned well and re-primed. Same thing. That's when I decided it was good enough for me. 73 Brian / wa5am On Mon, Sep 14, 2009 at 7:04 PM, Mark Foltarz <[email protected]>wrote: > Brian, > > Strip the primer off.
