Why don't you guys just go with an 8 inch full range speaker that I can give you for $10 and it will have a 70 volt transformer that you can use on other radio's...Definatly you do not want a woofer that is not a full range speaker as Steve said...At $10 I don't make anything but happy to pass a few on... Just put a piece of plywood in the box mount that to the enclosure and have the 8" full range... Now if anyone wants to have a kick butt speaker and build your own enclosure I have a 6 " speaker coaxial in a can 8 ohm or 4 ohm that will knock your sox's off... Ask SAW he has installed them... The 4 Inch is as good or better than 80 % of the Bose and JBL Right Steve... You got an AMer friend out here that manufactures speakers and will cut you a deal...

Keep searching though, Parts Express does have full-range replacement speakers. You can also check MCM Electronics. You'll likely want a full-range to replace your communications receiver speaker as most woofer's frequency range is limited to about 3.5 kHz to 4 kHz. Just barely enough to pass voice response so it would sound a little muddy. 73 de W5SAW, Steve White CL in NC wrote: > Here's a page with a $20 - 10" woofer. > > http://www.parts-express.com/wizards/searchResults .cfm?srchExt=CAT&srchCat=483 > > > > > __________________________________________________ ____________ > Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net > AMRadio mailing list > Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] t/ > List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html > List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio > Post: [email protected] > To unsubscribe, send an email to [email protected] with > the word unsubscribe in the message body. > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > > __________________________________________________ ____________ Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net AMRadio mailing list Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] t/ List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Post: [email protected] To unsubscribe, send an email to [email protected] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.
