In reading over the IARU Region 2 MF/HF Band Plan, Effective January 1, 2008, I notice that the only frequencies between 1800 kHz and 297000 kHz where DSB AM Phone is allowed are from 3600 to 3625 kHz, 3875 to 3900 kHz, 7100 to 7300 kHz, 14285 to 14300 kHz, and 29000 to 29300 kHz. My position is that DSB AM should be recognized as a "Preferred" mode on all frequencies where SSB phone is also allowed.
