The problem is that once the bandplan is adopted, essentially a treaty, the FCC would eventually need to modify the rules to align with it. I'm not sure if the League is so much on a quest to eliminate AM as continuing it's lemming like plodding lowest common denominator thinking which has lead our hobby to the sad state it's in today.
