Hello Howard, I just tested CAT steering of 2 Yaesu transceivers. Since I don't have a FT-857 I made the test with my FT-847 as "Radio 1" on the uhf antenna and the FT-817 as "Radio 2" on the vhf antenna. That worked flawlessly also with SSB sats. With FO-29 I could tune the FT-847 as RX and the FT-817 as TX followed, with VO-52 I could tune the FT-817, now the RX, and the FT-847, now as TX, followed. Also the "Uplink Calibration" (menu "CAT") was no problem. Lateron I configured the FT-817 as "Radio 1" and the FT-847 as "Radio 2" and that worked also flawlessly.
I will send you my setup with a separate mail off the list. 73s, Erich, DK1TB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Howard Kowall" <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 15, 2009 6:22 PM Subject: [amsat-bb] Satpc32 with 2 Transceivers > Good morning everyone > Trying to run Satpc32 with a FT897d and FT817nd > The ft897nd is on the uhf antenna and the ft817nd is on the vhf antenna > it all seems to work on the FM sats but having some problems with ssb sats > AO7,VO52,FO29 > The trouble I am having is on the calibration of the freq. and doppler > adjument > has anyone run into this > hopefully someone has a few pointers and tricks > Thanks to all who reply > Howard > VE4ISP > > _______________________________________________ > Sent via [email protected].
