AMP: My vote, SSB pre-amps, outstanding, although agreeably expensive, but well worth the cost hands down; my MFJ pre-amp didnt hold up as it felt quite cheap. The other advantage of the SSB is that the power requirement is very low, which means it is compatible with ICOM's amps and will be powered internally from the radio.
