Thanks Simon. I guess it just stalls under the load. The windows title bar says "not responding" trying to close the program gives the familiar "program not responding" dialog box. Leave the computer for a bit and it eventually resumes tracking until any key is pressed then stalls again. I realise that simultaneously tracking 85 satellites is of little use but other programs seem to manage it.
