I hit the 1000 mark a couple of decades ago as well. Sold my very first article to Wayne Green at 73 Magazine my junior year in high school. Got $30 for an article that was 2/3rds of a page in the old small size magazine which included a sketch! That was a "fortune" to a 17 year old in 1961.
